SOLAR PROJECT MALAYSIA
Roles and Responsibilities

1.SWEPA:Responsible: 1. Datin Jeanette Tambakau
2.Yap Li Ling
Role:
i)Prepare the ITEC Form for submission to the Indian High Commission
ii)Complete the Medical Certificate
iii)Apply for the passport and submit to the High Commission along with the completed ITEC Forms
iv) Obtain the signature of the District Officer (Sualim Sanan)
Date of Submission to the High Commission: end May 2014
v) Arrange to receive and clear the solar equipment from the sea port when it arrives in Malaysia

2, ASIAN FORESTRY COMPANY: Responsible: Thondik Venantius
Role:
i)To get the commitment of all the 100 families in writing that they will pay 30 Ringgits/month once the solar units are installed. Make copies and circulate to all parties concerned.
ii) Confirm the ownership of the land being donated by the Village Headman Kayak for the Training Centre/Rural Electronic Workshop

3. PACOS/DISTRICT OFFICE: Responsible 1. Ann 2. Freddie (on the ground) 3. Sualim Sanan District Officer
Role:
i)Form the Solar Committee of 4 women and 3 members. Decide on the composition of the Committee to include representation of district officials.
ii)Keep the Minutes of the Meeting.
Iii)There should be at least 2 meetings of the Committee before the women leave for India

4. GEF Small Grants Programme: Responsible David Lee National Coordinator
Role:
Transfer the funds for the purchase of the solar equipment from India to SWEPA in time so that the equipment arrives by the time the 3 women come back from India in March 2015

5. BAREFOOT COLLEGE Responsible: Bunker Roy
Meagan Carnahan
Role:
i)To ensure that 3 women selected are accepted by the Indian High Commission and the Government of India for training starting September 2014
ii)To provide free Board and Lodging, phone and medical services to the trainees while they are in India for 6 months
iii) To guarantee that the 3 women will come back to Malaysia in March 2015.
